Birtinya Eastbank Pedestrian Bridge announced

We are really excited that the Birtinya Eastbank Pedestrian Bridge has just been announced by Stockland.

LatStudios has been collaborating with Red Fox Advisory to deliver the architectural and urban design elements of this critical east/west pedestrian and cycle link across Lake Kawana, connecting the future Stockland Birtinya Town Centre to Sportsman Parade, the lakefront walking loop and surrounding communities.

The iconic ‘cable stay’ bridge design features cables fanning from two sculptural piers, supporting a 130 metre long, four-metre wide bridge deck. It will provide a shared pedestrian and cycle path across Lake Kawana, and will have a clearance of up to three metres for water based leisure craft.

This bridge will create a critical piece of the broader active transport network and significantly enhance the liveability of the Birtinya and Kawana communities.
