In addition to project and financial management skills, the candidate should bring experience mentoring and managing project teams and actively contributing to business development.

About You
As a Senior/Associate Landscape Architect, you will take the lead in managing projects and ensuring their successful delivery. In addition, you will play a key role in mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative studio environment. Your responsibilities will include building strong client relationships, coordinating with the studio team, and ensuring design briefs, project goals, and quality standards are met throughout all project stages. You will also work closely with studio management to support daily operations, contributing to a productive and dynamic workplace. This role includes preparing proposals and bids for new projects. With your expertise as a designer, you will be able to balance technical project requirements with creative, high-quality and creative design solutions.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino. Experience with Revit is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong understanding of landscape technical design requirements and relevant construction standards.
- Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering design excellence across all project outcomes.
- Registered Member of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA).
- Proven experience in project management, from proposal and bid preparation through to construction and project completion.
- Informed understanding of current trends and best practices in Landscape Architecture.
- Exceptional financial management and project coordination abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring junior staff.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively while determining staffing needs to balance workloads.
- Skilled in critically reviewing personal work to ensure outstanding results.
- Capability to support studio management with business development and marketing efforts.
- Strong critical thinking, innovation, and sensitivity to community and environmental contexts.
- Ability to create high-quality project designs and graphics that are efficient and effective.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Flexibility to tailor outputs to meet the unique needs of different projects and clients.
- Passion for contributing to the advancement of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design professions.
