Project Details
The Braybrook Regeneration Project is a collaboration between both Local and State government - Maribyrnong City Council, the Department of Health and Human Services, Homes Victoria, the Department of Transport and headed by the Victorian Planning Authority (as our client). A number of private, speciality consultancy teams form part of the working group and have been part of the process since early 2020.
Braybrook is an Urban Renewal Precinct and has been identified by the State Government as a Strategic Site. The suburb will experience rapid growth by 2051, with the need to provide 10,000 new dwellings and refresh the current public housing stock that is no longer fit for purpose.
This project seeks to implement an Urban Design Framework in the near future. The draft plan and strategies have been developed with input from specialist economic, transport, architecture, engineering, community infrastructure and engagement teams in order to provide a well-rounded framework to keep Braybrook inclusive, connected, affordable and make Braybrook a greener, healthier and more vibrant place to live in the future.
