The integrated fabric that weaves both economic activity with spaces at street level shapes the daily experience of all communities.
The delivery of a cojoined Trading and Parklet Policy Guidelines provided the opportunity for clear and simple guidance to:
- Assist businesses with their applications to establish new or extend existing outdoor dining and trading areas
- Provide Council with a clear decision making framework for the application, evaluation and enforcement of Footpath Trading and Parklet permits.
LatStudios research, analysis and stakeholder engagement played an active role in understanding the challenges and spatially of this urban streetscape in Frankston.
Grounded by internal stakeholder feedback, the visualization of new footpath trading and parklet considerations was informed by the clarification of trading permits applications, responsibilities of permit holders and responsibilities of Council.
