2024 in Review: Industry Involvement
Our contributions and support of the Australian design community in 2024.
Our studio is founded on 4 key values, a commitment to quality, collaboration, creative initiative and sharing of ideas. This commitment extends beyond our studio practice into our contribution to our profession's development & image within the wider community.
Here are just some of the events, talks, lectures, organisations and tours that we've been involved in throughout 2024:
- Kim Delbridge was appointed to Urban Design Forum Committee for 2024/25.
- Damian Thompson spoke at the New Environment Transformation (NExT) forum at the University of Sunshine Coast on the Maroochydore City Centre - a biophilic 20-minute neighbourhood? in November.
- Marina Couchman published an article in the May issue of Landscape Architecture Australia magazine titled "Deep Time, observation and geological processes" reflecting on her honours thesis.
- Sebastian Cocks presented his Masters thesis 'Patchwork Plains' to Brimbank City Council.
- Wendy Davies and Georgina Pratten collaborated with esteemed landscape planning researchers to publish a research paper in the MDPI Land journal in February.
- Marina Couchman spoke at the AILA QLD Circular Legacies event in October.
- Damian Thompson spoke at a 2024 Sunshine Coast Open House event ‘The Planning and Design of UniSC Campus’ Walking Tour and Lecture in September.
- Damian Thompson was selected for the City of Brisbane Legacy Committee.
- Wendy Davies, Sasha Paterson and Zara Monteith took out the Organisation category for the Brisbane office in the 2024 Threatened Species Bake Off in September.
